George Winter

George Michael Winter, Sr. 78 of Palmer Twp., passed away Wednesday February 1, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 6, 1938 in Easton a son of the late George and Josephine (Corriere) Winter. George and his wife the former Carole Cuvo celebrated 56 years of marriage together. He was employed as an electrician for IBEW Local 102 for over 45 years until his retirement. He was the owner of the Lehigh Valley Skydiving Club which operated out of the former Bethlehem/Easton Airport. He was a pilot since 16 years of age, owning several planes throughout his life. George was a graduate of Easton High School. George was of the Catholic faith, and a member of the Pomfret Club. In addition to his wife Carole, George is survived by his sons George M. Winter, Jr of Tatamy, Andrew A. Winter and wife Debra of Palmer Twp., and grandchildren Kyle A. Winter of Hoboken, NJ, George M. Winter III of Tatamy and Elisha N. Winter of Saratoga Springs, NY. In addition to his parents, brothers William and Larry Winter preceded George in death. Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042 in memory of George.
