Angelo Palmisano

Angelo F. Palmisano, Jr., 76, of Wind Gap, PA, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Klump) Palmisano; together they shared 53 years of marriage. Born August 4, 1938 in Easton, he was a son of the late Angelo and Margaret (Caponigro) Palmisano. Angelo graduated from Easton High School in 1956 and Churchman Business School in 1958. He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961. Earlier he worked for Collins & Aikman for 12 years, and later retired from Hoffman LaRoche in Belvidere, NJ. He enjoyed working outdoors, especially tending his flower gardens. He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl. In addition to his loving wife, Sandra, Angelo is survived by his son, Brian Palmisano of Wind Gap. Also surviving are three brothers, Albert and Gerald of Easton and Anthony of Roslyn; and four sisters, Geraldine Fahringer of Bath, Rose Catalino of Roseto, Lucia Palmisano of Scranton and Margherite Mueller of North Carolina. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Carl and a sister Angie. Family and friends are invited to call from 6:00 - 7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 2 at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West Street, Wind Gap, and from 9:30 - 10:15 am on Wednesday, June 3, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, 300 West Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am in the church, with the Rev. Msgr. Vincent York presiding. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Pen Argyl. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Angelo's name may be offered to the Building Fund of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, at the above address.
