John P. Herkalo MATTHEWS, NC John P. Herkalo passed away July 24, 2021, in Matthews, North Carolina. John resided in Wesley Chapel, North Carolina for the past eleven years. Before moving to North Carolina, he resided in Easton, PA, and Phillipsburg, NJ for most of his life. He did spend a short time in Independence and Kansas City, Missouri while attending Rockhurst College. He was a graduate of Easton Area High School and Churchman Business College in Easton, PA. He was employed by Interstate Resources in Edison, New Jersey as a corrugated box Sales Representative. He later went into business for himself, selling paper products. He continued with his business until retirement. John belonged to many clubs over the years, but his favorite was Harkers Hollow Golf Club in Harmony, NJ where he spent a great deal of time. He was married to Beverly M. Herkalo for over 60 years. Funeral arrangements will be at the convenience of the family.
