Louis Ferrante

Louis R. Ferrante, Jr., 77, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 in his home. Louis was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Louis Ferrante Sr., and Lucia (Pellicotti) Ferrante. Louis was married to the former Sandra Slocum, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage last December 20. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1956. Louis served in the US Army from 1958-1960. He was a Machine Setter for AT&T before retiring in 1984. He played football for Easton High School from 1953 to 1955. He was an Assistant Football Coach at Bethlehem Catholic for 18 years and later at Phillipsburg High School for 3 years. Louis was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Fleas Club, Wilson Boro Republican Club. In addition to his wife, Louis is survived by a grandson Darren D. Ferrante, of Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton. Interment will be held in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Contributions in Louis’ memory may be made to American Cancer Society , Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Louie was one of my oldest friends. He remains in my memories and will be in my prayers.
