Carol Ann Vandegrift was given 81 years on this earth and she used every day to bless all those who were around her. Everyone who knew Carol felt her love and compassion. She always had a warm smile and a soft voice, both of which were very comforting to all. Carol passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2016. Although she will be dearly missed, her kindness will live on in those who live by her example.

She was a daughter of the late Isabella and Joseph Crotsley, and wife of the late Richard Vandegrift. Her sister, Alice Hochwarter, brother-in-law, Raymond Hochwarter, and nephew, Joseph Crotsley, Jr., preceded her in death. Carol enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, formerly St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Surviving is a brother, Joseph Crotsley, Sr. and his wife Sylvia; nieces, Gwyn Gabrielli and Danielle Muick; nephew, Bruce Fritchman; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick Street, Easton. Call Saturday 10:30-11:30am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
